📜 The Support Guide

Supports play a unique role, focusing on assisting teammates, upgrading defenses, and using utility items effectively.

Example Support build:

If supports choose to deal damage, they can follow any of the main class builds (Melee, Ranged, Mage, Tank or Summoner).

Their main focus should be acquiring items that provide buffs and auras for teammates, and utilizing item active abilities to aid the team. They can also debuff enemies with their own attacks.

‣ Early Game

You can or should always buy Sticks (up to three) and a Wand upgrade (one recommended) to restore health and mana after kills.

Supports can start with Orb of Venom and Orb of Corrosion for extra AoE damage, same goes for Blood Grenades.

Their priority, if they choose to, lies in upgrading the base - purchasing Tower Multishot Upgrade, Tower Blessing Upgrade, and Tower Attributes Upgrade. Avoid upgrading barracks, and focus only on T4 Towers for defense improvements.

For better mobility, Arcane Blink helps to move around the map quickly.

‣ Mid Game

Vladmir's Offering or directly Vladmir's Cuirass will provide its aura with lifesteal, bonus damage, attack speed and armor. Also debuffs enemies.

Pipe of Insight and Crimson Guard are strong defensive items that can later be upgraded to Armor of Insight.

(Arcane) Bloodthorn and (Arcane) Spirit Vessel are ideal for countering bosses (silence and health dps), while (Arcane) Holy Locket restores mana and health to allies and amplifies healing effects.

You can place Mjollnir’s active ability on allies or use (Exalted) Heaven’s Halberd active ability to disarm enemies.

Elysian Core helps reduce cooldowns on support abilities, while Shiva’s Armaments weakens enemies.

‣ Late Game

Arcane Guardian Greaves - restores health and mana to all allies.

Moonshards can be placed on your teammates to increase their attack speed.

Glimmerdark Shield can combine with Heart of Infested to grant teammates a shield based on your health.

Celestial Slayer debuffs enemies, making them weaker thus giving your teammates an advantage.

Exalted Solar Crest can boost allies with armor, attack speed, and movement speed.

Linken’s Sphere or Lotus Orb are ideal for blocking targeted spells on your teammates, especially during the Assault wave.

Other optional items (for various builds)

Observer Wards will provide a good view of the lanes, especially for ranged ally heroes.

Boots of Intellect, when actively used, decrease enemy magic resistance, helping your teammates deal more magic damage.

Parasma applies a magic resistance reduction debuff, increasing your team’s overall magic damage output.

You can control enemy units with the Helm of the Commander, helping your team in fights or simply using their own auras.

Rhyzik's Eye deals AoE damage and applies movement/attack speed slow on enemies.

(Exalted) Silver Edge applies break on your attacks, can be useful in some scenarios.

Mage Slayer places a spell damage reduction debuff on your enemies.

Gem of True Sight can be dropped underneath the neutral jungle bosses to grant vision of their location.

If you wish to contribute with some AoE damage, you can purchase Vermillion Robe, to be effective, you will also need to purchase the Heart of Infested.
